Blue Petyl Cares

At Blue Petyl, we believe there is more to life than bouquets. We have built our company for the benefit of our brides, our employees, and our community. We also recognize that many others are not as fortunate as we are, and we’d like to do what we can to help. We dedicate 10% of our profits every month to special charities that help enrich and improve the lives of children. We are proud to be able to do this, and we thank our customers and our employees for making it possible. We are proud to announce our partnerships with the following organizations:

Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego

Blue Petyl is proud to partner with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. Founded in 1980, Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego provides a “home away from home” to families with children being treated for serious, often life-threatening conditions at local hospitals.

Many families travel far from home to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children. Often, it can be a long time to be away from home, or to divide a family. And, for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having their mom and dad close by for love and support. Ronald McDonald Houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on healing their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest. Ronald McDonald Charities believe that when a child is hospitalized the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.

The Ronald McDonald House of San Diego features 47 guest suites and a Family Care Center, which is open to anyone with a child in an area hospital, not just overnight guests. The new facility serves nearly 20,000 family members each year with a range of programs including lodging, meals, enrichment activities, computer access, recreational facilities and more. The Family Care Center serves as a day resource for families with seriously-ill or injured children, providing necessities to make their lives easier as they go through a very challenging time.

SOS Children’s Villages / Aldeas Infantiles Bolivia

Blue Petyl is very proud to sponsor an SOS Children’s Village in Bolivia. SOS Children’s Villages is an independent, nongovernmental social development organization. Children who have been abandoned or orphaned come to SOS Children’s Villages where they are integrated into a loving family environment. They are nurtured and supported by an SOS Mother and up to 15 other children in their SOS home who become their SOS brothers and sisters. Strong bonds develop within these “SOS families”, and even after the children are grown and leave the village, these family relationships endure.

While growing up, SOS children have the benefit of a stable, loving family environment that includes the necessities of life such as clothing, meals, medical care and a high-quality education. Children remain in their SOS home within an SOS Village until they are prepared to create lives for themselves as independent adults.

Since its founding in 1949, SOS Children’s Villages has expanded to over 500 villages in 133 countries. They are currently raising over 80,000 children in villages and through many education, family strengthening, medical, and outreach programs, they impact the lives of over 1 million people each year.

SOS Children’s Villages in Bolivia (Aldeas Infantiles)

SOS Children’s Villages (Aldeas Infantiles) began with a single village in La Paz in 1983, and has since expanded to operate twenty-two programs throughout the country, touching the lives of thousands of young boys and girls.

Blue Petyl has special personal ties to the Adleas Infantiles programs in Bolivia through our family, our experience, and our shared beliefs. We are proud to support the work they do to provide opportunities to disadvantaged children.
